I4F Forms Partnership with VICstairs

Turnhout, Belgium, August 26, 2025-I4F, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the flooring industry, announced a new patent partnership with VICstairs, a Dutch innovation company delivering stair nose solutions.

The partnership covers VICstairs’ technology, delivering StepVue, a patented step covering technology for easier than ever to install stair cladding and renovations. As a result of the collaboration, I4F obtains exclusive licensing rights for the revolutionary, one-piece seamless stair nose technology, engineered for high strength, water resistance, safety and seamless design flows from floors and walls to stairs. As the technology uses SPC, LVT or WPC materials, VICstairs benefits from strong synergies I4F’s long-standing, global customer base in those flooring material categories.

The technology addresses the common challenges of traditional stair coverings, particularly the reliance on unsightly profile systems. The StepVue technology enables manufacturers to offer aesthetic staircases that are strong, anti-slip and seamless, with each stair nose crafted from a single piece of material. This groundbreaking solution is compatible with a range of polymer core composite-based flooring materials, allowing for endless design opportunities in residential and commercial spaces alike. Anti-slip enhancements on resilient PVC, LVT and WPC versus more traditional materials on stairs, contributes to increased safety.
