Red Bank, NY, July 7—Homebuilder Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. said that new orders for homes rose 12.2 percent in June compared with June 2004.
The company said the dollar value of net contracts, including unconsolidated joint ventures, rose 29.7 percent.
The number of developments company-wide on June 30 increased to 323 communities from 285 communities at the end of June 2004, including 13 communities in Orlando from the company's acquisition of Cambridge Homes.
