Household Incomes Fell Last Year
Washington, DC, Sept. 29, 2010--Household incomes fell for a second year in 2009, according to the American Community Survey.
Income estimates from the survey, a wide array of census statistics reported annually, show that the median income of $50,221 is down about 4 percent from its peak in December 2007.
Median household income that year was $52,384.
Homeownership declined for the third year in a row to 65.9 percent, after hitting a peak of 67.3 percent in 2006.
