House Prices Unchanged in July
New York, NY, Sept. 27, 2011 -- Home prices were essentially flat on average in July, which might indicate that the housing market is stabilizing.
The S&P/Case Shiller composite index of single-family homes in 20 metropolitan areas was unchanged from a month earlier. However, prices declined 4.1% a year ago
On an unadjusted basis, prices in the 20 cities rose 0.9% month on month, topping expectations for a 0.7% rise.
