House Prices Continued To Fall in November

New York, NY, Jan. 25, 2011 -- The prices of single-family homes fell 1.0% in November compared to October, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index released Tuesday.

The overall index fell for the fifth straight month and prices are at about the same as they were in mid-2003.

Home prices declined in 19 of the 20 metropolitan areas tracked by Case-Shiller. Prices were 1.6% lower than 12 months ago,

Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Las Vegas, Miami, Portland, Ore., Seattle and Tampa are all at their lowest levels since they peaked.
