Dollar Bay, MI, October 8, 2006--One month after union members at Horner Flooring went on strike in a contract dispute, they are going back to their jobs.
According to company officials, the strike ended Thursday when union members voted to accept an offer made by the company on September 20.
It's the same proposal, officials say, that the union rejected two weeks ago, but according to a union representative, it was accepted this time because employees were starting to cross the picket line.
The proposal had initially been rejected because the union said it would take away seniority and turn Horner into an "open shop".
