Honeywell Names Business Development Chief

Morris Township, NJ, Oct. 28--Honeywell has appointed Rhonda Germany to the position of vice president of strategy and business development, and as an officer of the corporation. Germany will report directly to Honeywell chairman and CEO Dave Cote. "Rhonda will be instrumental in building a powerful growth culture within Honeywell," Cote said. "She will focus on our customers and markets, the technologies we have developed, and catalyzing new strategies to enable us to capitalize on the wide range of growth opportunities available to Honeywell." Germany will be responsible for leading Honeywell's strategic planning process and will work closely with senior leadership to develop a framework for driving growth initiatives worldwide, including assessing the company's current portfolio for expansion into new markets and new product offerings. Prior to joining Honeywell, she was vice president, partner and board member of Booz, Allen & Hamilton, a $2 billion management and technology consulting firm specializing in strategy, operations and IT consulting. During her 14 years at the firm, Germany consulted to senior management teams within the energy, chemicals, biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to joining Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Germany ran an independent consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, and turnaround and growth strategies for companies across multiple industries. She has also held a number of management positions at other firms, including Chem Systems Inc. and Union Carbide.
