Honeywell Facility Featured for its Environmental

Dalton, GA, July 15--Honeywell Nylon’s Columbia, S.C., manufacturing site was recently featured on the cover of Index of Waste Minimization Resources for South Carolina Industries, the annual publication from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). According to the DHEC, the site was selected for the cover because it illustrates a facility meeting the highest standard of environmental consciousness in the state. Furthermore, the site depicts the environmental image the DHEC desires to portray to recyclers in the state. The DHEC waste index contains contact information and details on companies and products in South Carolina that provide recycling options. The index is broken down into sections such as: recyclers, vendors, services, product substitutions and a company index. In addition to this recognition, Honeywell Nylon’s three South Carolina manufacturing facilities have been honored by both the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) and the South Carolina Occupational Safety Council (SCOSC) for meeting safety excellence standards. Honeywell Nylon’s South Carolina facilities are located in Anderson, Clemson and Columbia, and produce premium nylon for use in commercial and residential carpet applications. Anso nylon was introduced 36 years ago and is the oldest continuously marketed fiber brand in the residential carpet industry. Zeftron nylon provides commercial carpet products with unsurpassed aesthetics, performance and renewability characteristics. Anso nylon and Zeftron nylon are nylon 6 brands, meaning they are fully renewable and can be recycled back into nylon with the same original quality.
