Honeywell Closes Last Carpet Fiber Facility

Anderson, SC, June 27, 2007--Honeywell International will cease production of nylon textile at its site in Anderson, SC, by the end of Aug 2007, according to Chemical Business.

 

The publication reported that this will mark the company's exit from the nylon fibers business. It reported that Honeywell is now in the course of selling its nylon carpet fiber venture in Shanghai, China to US firm Invista.

 

In 2005, Honeywell sold its carpet fiber assets in the US to Shaw Industries.
