Honeywell and CWI Launch Vesantri

Dalton, Ga, October 12--Honeywell Nylon and CWI, a recognized leader of commercial carpet products, announced a new collection of highly styled upscale products designed for the residential market. Marking CWI’s entry into the residential sector, the collection contains 13 products made with Honeywell Nylon’s Anso Caress nylon. Seven of the 13 products also contain Honeywell Nylon’s patented CrossBond Technology for added tip definition and increased performance. The entire collection contains a variety of coordinated patterns and a total of 18 products, with individual products containing 12 to 24 fashionable colors. Along with the collection, CWI is offering a custom color program, a designer’s choice custom rug program and a one-of-a-kind retail display system. A special rebate incentive is available for dealers who purchase the Vesantri Collection Display until Nov. 30, 2004. "As more consumers continue to trade up to high-styled, soft surface floor coverings for their homes, we feel our experience with high-end, designer-influenced commercial carpets can effectively meet a growing residential market niche need," said CWI president and owner Stan Padgett. CWI’s vice president of sales, Celeste Chandler, stated: "Our partnership with Honeywell Nylon on the commercial side and their Zeftron brand provided the perfect synergy to partner with them in the development of this collection. Honeywell Nylon’s flexibility in working with us, the well-known and highly respected Anso nylon brand name, and their second-to-none technology story is a winning combination for us as we launch our first residential collection." Among the 13 Anso nylon broadloom products are patterned goods, solid saxonies and textures – all of which were developed to coordinate throughout the entire home in such key areas as living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. The collection’s diversity can be found through such products as Angelina, a saxony cutpile with 24 colors; Barberini, a vine pattern variable loop over cut with 12 colors; Tuscany, a cutpile with 24 colors; and Viaveneto, a basketweave pattern cut and loop with 12 colors. All products are available in exact yardage cuts to ensure customers receive only the carpet amount they need. The free-standing, front-loading display includes 18 sample rack cards (expandable to 26) with large 20" x 30" samples of each style hanging below the rack card area. Each display comes furnished with one customer "take home" card of each style, showing the style photo and color line. Finished on all sides, the display can be used as a centerpiece or placed against a wall. The custom color program enables customers to create coordinated design solutions between the carpet they select and their existing home furnishings. For example, customers can bring a paint chip, fabric swatch or home accessory to their retailer who can then send that item to a laboratory for a color match. Customers will receive a 3" x 5" carpet sample either at their home or at the retail location within three days showing the color match available. Customers looking for a rug solution to their home décor needs will benefit from CWI’s custom rug program. Each broadloom product can be developed into a highly styled rug that comes with three perfect-matching edge finishes from which to choose: Tapestry, Leather and Basket Weave. "This collection and its related offerings are all designed to meet today’s fashion-oriented customer who wants and needs multiple choices," said Ann Merino, Honeywell Nylon’s residential merchandising and brand marketing manager. "We share CWI’s passion in developing highly styled products and look forward to creating the same mutually beneficial relationship with them on the residential side as we have with them on the commercial side."
