HomeVestors Signs Agreement with Home Depot

Atlanta, GA, Feb. 2--The Home Depot has signed an agreement to be the exclusive building materials supplier to HomeVestors of America, Inc. HomeVestors, known to consumers as the "We Buy Ugly Houses" company, trains and supports franchisees who rehabilitate housing. Home Depot will provide a variety of goods and services to HomeVestors through its stores and its Home Depot Supply division. "Home Depot offers our franchisees a single-point of contact for the complete range of products needed to transform undesirable houses into appealing, comfortable, marketable homes," said J. David Young, president of HomeVestors. "We stand to benefit from unfettered access to the finest quality products and materials at the best prices." "Because of our ability to provide a wide range of product and service offerings to HomeVestors, we are able to participate in a very unique growth sector in the real estate market. It's another example of Home Depot growing by extending its business to meet new opportunities." HomeVestors of America, Inc. supports nearly 200 franchised offices operating in 66 markets in 18 states. In 2003, HomeVestors franchisees executed more than 7,600 purchase and sales transactions for houses within their operating markets. Home Depot Supply is the division of Home Depot that focuses on serving business-to-business customers.
