Home Prices Up for 12th Consecutive Month in April

New York, NY, June 30, 2015— Home prices continued to increase in April, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, rising 0.3% month over month and 4.9% year over year.

This comes on the heals of March’s 0.95% increase, month over month.

Both Composites and the National index showed slightly lower year-over-year gains compared to last month.

The 10-City Composite gained 4.6% year-over-year, while the 20-City Composite gained 4.9% year-over-year.

“Home prices continue to rise across the country, but the pace is not accelerating,” says David M. Blitzer, managing director and chairman of the Index Committee at S&P Dow Jones Indices.
