Home Listings Down from a Year Ago
Washington, DC, March 14, 2012 -- The number of U.S. home listings has fallen substantially from a year ago and asking prices are higher, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Home listings last month were down 22% last month from a year ago, while asking prices are up 6.8% as more shoppers enter the market, according to data from Realtor.com, the association's website.
There were 1.78 million homes listed for sale in February with a median asking price of $188,000.
