Atlanta, GA, June 20, 2006--Home Depot said it has set aside $30 million for stores and employees that provide good customer service.
The company said Tuesday that selected store employees will get up to $1,000 monthly and $10,000 quarterly.
Stores selected will get up to $25,000 to use for employee gatherings or other types of community activities.
The stores or employees will be selected based on feedback customers give on Home Depot's web site, said Jose Lopez, a senior vice president and the company's chief customer officer.
The company will be looking for employees and stores that are rated 9 or 10 on a scale of 10 for customer service, those stores and employees who show the most improvement and those that are able to maintain a high level of customer service on a regular basis, Lopez said.
