Home Depot Stages 'Home Show 06'
Atlanta, GA, September 7, 2006--Home Depot is launching its first-ever national home show in more than 1,000 stores nationwide, featuring innovative products through live demonstrations, in-store celebrity clinics, a virtual home tour and online workshops. Customers can visit "Home Show 06" September 7-24, 2006, to experience the company's largest effort to showcase new developments in a range of products in categories including energy efficiency, home safety and decor. "We challenged our suppliers, our stores and our product merchants to source the marketplace for the very best innovations in home improvement products, and we are proud to present to our customers what is perhaps the largest single concentration of cutting-edge solutions for their homes," said Bob Nardelli, chairman, president & CEO of The Home Depot. These are just a few of the new products featured during the next three weeks that help consumers save time and money." Homeowners will hone their do-it-yourself skills by attending clinics at The Home Depot stores on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays on topics such as "innovative paint applications," "quick bathroom updates," and "the latest in flooring solutions." Twenty clinics will be led by celebrity designers from The Learning Channel home improvement shows, including Leslie Segrete from "Trading Spaces" and "While You Were Out," Andrew Dan Jumbo from "While You Were Out" and Hildi Santo-Tomas from "Trading Spaces."
