Home Depot Q3 Sales Rose by 6.1% YOY, EPS Up 18.5%

Atlanta, GA, November 15, 2016—The Home Depot reported sales of $23.2 billion for the third quarter of fiscal 2016, a 6.1% increase from the third quarter of fiscal 2015. Comparable store sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2016 were positive 5.5%, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 5.9%.

Net earnings for the third quarter of fiscal 2016 were $2.0 billion, or $1.60 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $1.7 billion, or $1.35 per diluted share, in the same period of fiscal 2015. For the third quarter of fiscal 2016, diluted earnings per share increased 18.5% from the same period in the prior year.
