Home Depot Plans to Add 12 Stores in 2026

Charlotte, NC, March 24, 2026-"The Home Depot plans to expand its U.S. footprint in 2026 by opening 12 new stores totaling more than 1.6 million square feet across eight states, even as many other retailers reduce their brick-and-mortar presence,” reports Truist. 

“States include Texas, Arizona, Florida, California, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Utah, and Tennessee. The company said the expansion is aimed at better serving professional builders and homeowners in fast-growing markets while supporting housing demand and the maintenance of aging homes. Each new store is said to feature upgrades including flexible checkout areas, specialty showrooms, enhanced merchandising displays, larger garden centers, expanded space for online order pickup, and full-service tool rental centers.”
