Home Depot Names Taylor EVP

Atlanta, GA, December 21--The Home Depot has announced that Tom Taylor, a 21-year company veteran, will assume the newly-created role of EVP - Home Depot Stores. In his new role, Tom will be responsible for execution across all U.S. and Mexico stores, and will work closely with John Costello, EVP - Merchandising and Marketing and Carl Liebert, SVP - Operations to provide customers with distinctive and innovative products and services in a world-class store environment. Taylor most recently served as president of the company's Eastern Division, the largest division of The Home Depot, consisting of more than 600 stores and 150,000 associates. Prior to that assignment, he was SVP of the PRO Contractor Business, with primary responsibility for extending the company's services to the growing segment of professional contractors and tradespeople. Taylor also served as president of the Northwest Division and regional vice president of the Southwest Region. The Home Depot also announced that Paul Raines, regional vice president, Florida, is being promoted to division president. Raines and the other two U.S. division presidents and the president of the Mexico Division will report directly to Tom Taylor. The company also announced that its Global Supply Chain and Business Process Improvement groups will report directly to Carl Liebert, SVP - Operations. Liebert was formerly SVP and division president for Circuit City prior to joining The Home Depot in 2003. A Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, Liebert has extensive retail experience in operations, sourcing and logistics. This move will ensure a supply chain strategy that seamlessly integrates with The Home Depot's stores to better serve the customers' needs.
