Home Depot Intros Stainproof Grout with Scotchgard

Atlanta, GA, September 29--Home Depot today introduced a ground-breaking solution to dirty, stained and damaged grout -- TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout featuring Scotchgard Protector. The innovative, premixed product features a 25-year warranty, guaranteeing that the product will resist most common household stains such as wine, coffee, ketchup and shoe polish, as well as mold, mildew and color fading. "The combination of the quality of TrafficMaster, the expertise of Roanoke and the reliability of Scotchgard creates a superior product that will make homeowners' lives a bit easier." Developed and manufactured by Roanoke Companies Group, Inc., TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout is ideal for new tile installations on floors, countertops and walls, in kitchens, bathrooms and entryways. This easy-to-use product may also be applied to existing broken or stained grout lines, which means homeowners won't need to rip out and replace old tile. TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout is available in 25 colors in sanded and non-sanded formulations. The product colors are consistent, unlike traditional cement grouts with colors that may vary from batch to batch. Tiling with traditional cement-based grout is a messy job that requires mixing powdered cement with water, stirring and measuring for the right consistency, and using each batch of grout within an allotted period of time to avoid hardening. By contrast, premixed TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout is ready to use straight from the bucket, making application and cleanup less of a chore. The easy-to-use product also allows for touch-ups and second coats and, unlike traditional grouts, TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout will adhere to old grout and appear as new. The lid also can be tightly resealed, allowing the grout to be used for up to six months. TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout is available exclusively at The Home Depot stores in a gallon size container and will soon be available in a quart size. Also available in the product line is the TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout float tool for grout application and the TrafficMaster Stainproof Grout Kit, including everything needed to renew worn or damaged grout.
