Home Depot Adds To Its Builder Dealer Network

Atlanta, GA, Jan. 6--The Home Depot confirmed it has completed the purchase of Creative Touch Interiors (CTI), a leading turnkey design center provider for major homebuilders in Southern California and Las Vegas. Terms were not disclosed. CTI has become part of The Home Depot Supply's Builder Solutions Group, which offers turnkey solutions in flooring, countertops, window treatments and design services for the nation's largest homebuilders. The group targets the $25 billion in finished products and services consumed annually in new home construction. Builder Solutions Group is a part of The Home Depot Supply, a division of The Home Depot that focuses on serving business-to-business customers. "The acquisition of CTI extends the Builder Solutions Group's reach from coast to coast, by adding the Las Vegas and Southern California markets," said Jim Stoddart, division president, The Home Depot Supply. "CTI brings strong leadership, quality service and excellent customer relationships, including some of the largest homebuilders in the country." In line with the philosophies and business operations of Builder Solutions Group, CTI is dedicated to managing the design center selection process, procurement and installation of finished products for homebuilders in Southern California and Las Vegas. With its flagship location in San Diego, CTI offers customized design center capabilities and installation for flooring as well as countertops and window treatments. CTI has approximately 200 employees. "Adding CTI to the team ensures that we will continue to bring quality, value and expertise to our homebuilder customers," said Mark Fikse, president of Builder Solutions Group. "I'm delighted that CTI founder Steve Lyman and President Jeffery Sears are partnering with us in this transition. CTI has a remarkable team of professionals who are committed to the success of their customers." Sears, whose background includes more than 22 years in the flooring industry, will remain in his leadership role at CTI. "We are thrilled to be part of Builder Solutions Group," said Sears. "By combining our service capabilities, resources, and superior teams, we ensure success for our homebuilder customers."
