Tokyo, Japan, January 21--Hitachi House Tech has announced the release of a plastic bathroom flooring product that uses independently developed technology to produce a lattice like pattern of micro sized protrusions on the surface to prevent slipping.
So-called "Micro Pattern" technology is used to create micro-size protrusions measuring tens of micrometers in size on the flooring surface. In addition, compared to conventional grooved bathroom flooring products, spilt soapy water is less likely to get caught in the protrusions, making the new flooring easier to keep clean.
Careful consideration has also been given to the size and unique lattice pattern of the protrusions so that they disrupt the surface tension of water so that it spreads over a wider area and therefore dries quicker.
