High Earning Gen Xers Drawn to 15 States

Chicago, IL, July 26, 2021-According to the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Realtor Magazine, Gen Xers, which are the highest-earning generation with a median income of $113,300, are moving to states in the South and West, some of which offer no state income tax.

Gen Xers make up a quarter of home buyers, according to NAR data, and those that earn at least $100,000 are on the move. The biggest net migration is to Florida, followed by Texas, North Carolina, Arizona, South Carolina, Tennessee, Idaho, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Georgia, Utah, Oregon, Montana and Alabama.
