HFP Long Floor Gets FSC Certification

Raleigh, NC, Jan. 19, 2010--Horizon Forest Products Long Floor said it has recently received a Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody Certification.

The certification verifies material from the forest to the consumer, through all successive stages including processing, manufacturing, and distribution.

Angela Simmons, cabinet branch manager, says that over the past two years, the request for FSC materials from customers has increased tremendously and that customers were increasingly more interested in preserving natural resources and the environment. 

“Before we began the FSC certification process, we realized that most of the things we were selling were already being changed over to ‘green’ certification,” says Simmons
