Herman Miller 4Q Earnings Rise

Zeeland, MI, March 22, 2007--Herman Miller Inc. said it expects its earnings to grow between 27 percent and 34 percent in the fiscal fourth-quarter, on sharply higher revenue.

The company expects net income between 47 cents and 51 cents per share, up from 38 cents per share in the year-prior period, while analysts polled by Thomson Financial are looking for a profit of 52 cents per share.

Herman Miller said the earnings reflect seasonally higher operating expense, supporting new product development and an annual trade show.

The company also forecast revenue of between $485 million and $505 million -- up from the $444.1 million booked a year earlier -- while analysts are looking for revenue of $499.8 million.
