H.B. Fuller Reports Lower Quarterly Earnings

St. Paul, MN, March 23, 2011 -- H.B. Fuller Co. reported earnings of $14.4 million, or $0.29 per share, for the first quarter ended Feb. 26, down from $19.0 million, or $0.38 per share a year ago.

Revenue increased almost 10% to $339.5 million.

The company said higher revenue was due to increased unit volume, contributions from acquisitions and increases in selling prices. However, it continued to be hurt by increasing raw materials costs.

The company reaffirmed its earlier earnings estimates.
