H.B. Fuller Earnings Results Beat Expectations

St. Paul, MN, Jan. 13, 2010--Adhesives maker H.B. Fuller Co. said fourth-quarter earnings were $24.6 million, or 50 cents per share, compared to a loss of $42.4 million, or 88 cents per share, a year earlier.

The latest results beat a 42 cent per share consensus estimate.

Quarterly revenue fell 2.5 percent to $341.6 million from $350.2 million. Analysts had expected $332.7 million.

For the 2009 fiscal year, H.B. Fuller's profit more than quadrupled to $83.7 million, or $1.70 per share, from $18.9 million, or 36 cents per share, the year before.

Yearly revenue fell 11 percent to $1.23 billion.
