H.B. Fuller 3Q Earnings Up

St. Paul, MN, Sept 26, 2007--H.B. Fuller Co reported third quarter earnings rose due to cost controls and improved sales of higher-profit margin products.

 

Net income increased to $28.4 million, or $.46 a share, from a year-ago profit of $24.2 million, or $.40 a share.

 

Quarterly revenue declined 1.1% to $367.9 million, the company said in a statement.

 

Analysts expected earnings of $.45 a share, on revenue of $373.95 million.

 

The company expects fourth-quarter earnings of $.50 to $.53 a share, Wall Street is looking for earnings of $.52.

 

H.B. Fuller also raised its full year 2007 forecast to $1.75 to $1.78 a share. The company earlier said it expected earnings at the high end of a $1.65 to $1.75 a share range.

 

Analysts have forecast earnings of $1.75 a share.
