H.B. Fuller 2Q Earnings Up

St. Paul, MN, June 27, 2007--H.B. Fullerreported fiscal second quarter net earnings that rose 40 percent as higher prices helped boost revenue.

 

Quarterly earnings increased $27.3 million, or 44 cents per share, from $19.5 million, or 32 cents per share.

 

Year-ago income from continuing operations totaled $18.7 million, or 31 cents per share.

 

Revenue for the quarter edged 0.5 percent higher to $373.5 million.

 

Analysts on average had predicted earnings of 40 cents per share on revenue of $374.2 million, according to a poll by Thomson Financial.

 

The company attributed the increase to higher average selling prices as well as the impact of acquisitions, divestitures and foreign currency translation.
