Hakatai Introduces Paradox Mosaic Tile

Ashland, OR, March 7, 2007--Hakatai Enterprises, Inc., importer and distributor of glass tile, introduces Paradox, an innovative and extraordinarily elegant concept in mosaic artistry, where the combination of monochromatic color scheme, style of mosaic cutting and play of light on the iridescent tile make these designs head-turners for any wall application.

Each Paradox mosaic mural is hand-cut, hand-aligned and created to your specified dimensions. Paradox is available in three design options - aura tree, organic bulb and intricate weave. Choose one mosaic color from a Saix Fantastix glass tile palette of twenty-four, ranging from vibrant blues and oranges to clean whites and delicate beiges. This iridescent tile series has been specifically chosen for Paradox murals because of its depth and movement as light hits the surface of the tile.

Paradox is suitable for interior and exterior walls and backsplashes and can be produced for corner applications, such as shower walls, letting the design flow from one wall to the next. “What makes these Paradox designs so unique is the movement of mosaic lines that take the lead role in creating the design with just the enhancement of a single mosaic color,” says Ann-Britt Malden, marketing VP of Hakatai. “This role reversal creates a look of modern simplicity and exquisite elegance all at once.”

Paradox murals are mesh-back mounted with clear film on the face of the tile for extra protection during shipping and installation. (Paper face mounting is available upon request.) Mural panels up to 6.5 feet x 13 feet are shipped as a single unit and rolled up like a carpet.  Murals larger than this are cut into smaller sections and then rejoined at time of installation. Each section is labeled and a positioning guideline is included.
