Gulistan Intros Several Rug Groups

Pinehurst, NC, July 13, 2007--Gulistan Carpet, having launched its first area rug collection roughly three years ago, is finding its footing with styles that combine luxury, softness and contrasting textures in sophisticated, tonal floor coverings.

Matador

The First Cork Bordered Area Rug Collection.

Tufted of 100% Tactesse nylon and Stainmaster® Elite branded, this thick sisal loop is colored in heathered neutral shades evoking the forest in fall. Acorn, stone, twig, flax and natural shades are woven in a heavy texture which contrasts with natural cork borders. Borders are finished with mitered corners. Atticus

Tapestry borders woven especially for Gulistan in subtle, tone-on-tone patterns are used to elegant affect in this 100% Tactesse nylon, Stainmaster® Elite collection. Like taffeta against tree bark, or silk against stone, the sophisticated contrast of materials here elevates this collection. Suggested retail for size 5x8 is $399.

Shelby

Highlighting the striated effect of space-dyed yarns in deeply saturated colors of teal, loden, ebony, twig, coin and fresco, this collection is inspired by hand knotted Tibetan carpets. The borders of each piece transition softly from the field colors, and are tonal patterns woven especially for Gulistan. Suggested retail for size 6x9 is $399.

Marlboro House

Luxuriously washed 100% New Zealand wool takes on the velvet texture of time-worn and treasured carpets. Inspired by ancient Persian designs, colors are rich, regal and saturated. Designs that showcase the integrity of traditional decorating styles are featured. Suggested retail for size 5x8 is $449.
