Greenbuild Attendance Up 25 Percent

Boston, MA, Dec. 10, 2008--Attendance at this year's Greenbuild Expo in Boston was up about 25 percent over last year despite the poor economy.

There were 28,224 registered attendees from 50 states, 85 countries, and six continents, compared to 22,726 at the Chicago show in 2007.

There was also a substantial increase the number of exhibitors. This year there were 807 organizations, up 68 percent, and the total number of square footage was 145,000, up 62 percent. Last year there were 479 exhibitors.

We had 500+ volunteers at the show, 50% were from the Boston area. About 75% were full time students and 25% were young professionals (under 25). We had a handful of international students as well.
