Global Container Rates Climb Due to Strait of Hormuz Disruption

The Drewry World Container Index increased 12% to $2,553 per 40-foot container in its May 14 assessment with spot rates from Shanghai to New York climbing 14% to $4,252 per 40-foot container and rates to Los Angeles up 10% to $3,357.
