German Court Issues Injunction Against Yekalon

Dallas, TX, July 26, 2010--The Court of Hamburg, Germany recently issued a preliminary injunction against the Chinese flooring manufacturer Yekalon that bans Yekalon from making certain statements, according to Mohawk subsidiary Unilin.

The statements, according to the company, include:

“In the final ruling made by the Court of Hamburg November 6, 2009, the preliminary injunction was revoked and Yekalon was crowned with another victory.”

“On January 24, 2007, in the Final Determination of the US ITC, Yekalon’s “Tap & Go” Engagement locking profiles were determined as the only non-infringing locking profiles.  Unilin unwillingly accepted this Final Determination and made no appeal.”

According to Unilin, the court decided that these statements include inaccurate and misleading information.
The decision of the Court of Hamburg is open for objection.
