Gerflor Says Taraflex Meets ASTM Standards

Chicago, IL, Oct. 27, 2010 -- Gerflor said that its complete Taraflex Sports Flooring range is compliant with the American Society for Testing Materials’ standard for indoor sports floor systems specifically related to playability and shock absorption.

Taraflex resilient indoor sports flooring offers different levels in force reduction, ball bounce and shock and the ASTM standards are designed to help prevent injuries.

“According to the National Center for Sports Safety, children ages 5 to 14 account for nearly 40% of all sports-related injuries treated in hospital emergency departments,” says Xavier Nicolau, North America marketing manager.
