Gerflor Introduces New Vinyl Installation Method

Chicago, IL, June 12, 2008-–Gerflor unveiled a new floor installation system that changes the way vinyl flooring is installed and maintained.

The new technique, Tarafit, is more sanitary than conventional flash coved (integral coving) resilient flooring and provides customers a longer lasting, better looking product, the company said.

“The entire Tarafit system is technically superior to all other installation systems on the market today,” said William Thornton, Gerflor North American technical and environmental manager.

Tarafit creates corners that are rounded as opposed to angular, which allows standard cleaning equipment to rid the floor corners of dust or disease causing agents. The new profile is also stronger and longer lasting than conventional flooring by using a heat welding method.
