Garland Floor Announces Sale, New Officers

Cleveland, OH, February 13, 2006--Garland Floor Company today announced the sale of the firm to ICS Building Technologies Corp., a construction chemicals firm with operations in Japan, Asia Pacific and North America. The sale was effective January 1st, 2006. The newly formed company, ICS Garland Inc., will continue operations in exactly the same manner and will remain in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The company is known internationally for their expertise in industrial and commercial flooring. Byron Smith, a principal in ICS, will assume the role of CEO. Ken Hughes, formerly vice president of sales & marketing, will succeed Jon Wise as President. Mr. Wise will remain with the firm as an executive. "As an executive working in Japan and the Asia Pacific market for the past seven years, I saw a dramatic need for an international company willing to localize their business," states Mr. Smith. ICS Building Technologies Corp is a construction chemicals company that leverages its strong brand names and technologies across the globe. The company chooses to focus efforts on the world's two largest economies USA and Japan, and the world's fastest growing economy, China.
