Gardner Picks Up Western Carpet's Lines

East Hanover, NJ, May 23, 2011--Gardner Industries, Inc. has expanded its product offering in the wake of Western Carpet's closing.

Western Carpet was an 80 year old full line flooring distributor out of Brooklyn, New York. At its closing, Gardner began servicing all of the carpet lines that Western sold, with the exception of one manufacturer.

In addition, Gardner hired former Western employees Nancy Picard and Carol Defero. Picard works in purchasing, customer service, logistics. Defero will serve much of New Jersey and Staten Island as an account manager/outside sales rep.
