Galaxy Co-Founder Harvey Dies

Chicago, IL, June 27, 2006--Irv Harvey, co-founder and former President of Galaxy Mills died Saturday. He was 75. Harvey also served as chairman of the CRI board of directors. Harvey, Irv Pomerantz, Charles Bramlett and Bobby Mosteller formed Galaxy in 1968. In 1989 Galaxy Mills was sold to Peerless Carpet Corp., based in Canada. Mohawk Industries, acquired Peerless six years later. Harvey retired after Galaxy Mills was sold. Services will be today in Chicago and are being handled by Piser Funeral Service.
