Fuller Buying Forbo's Industrial Adhesives Unit

St. Paul, MN, Dec. 22, 2011 -- Adhesives firm H.B. Fuller Co. has agreed to acquire the industrial adhesives business of the Forbo Group for $395 million.

For 2011, the business Fuller is buying should generate sales of about $580 million, Fuller said in a press release. It operates 17 manufacturing plants in 10 countries.

Fuller said it sees "sizable opportunities" for efficiency, including eliminating duplication in buying raw materials as well as in production and services.
