Freeman Launches Fully Recyclable Trade Show Carpet for Aisles

Dallas, TX, January 15, 2026-Freeman announces the launch of GreenStep Aisle Carpet, the industry’s first fully recyclable aisle carpet solution. Designed in partnership with Emerald Carpets, GreenStep allows event organizers to dramatically reduce waste while maintaining the durability and premium look expected on show floors. 

Developed in partnership with Emerald Carpets, part of the Peoples family of companies, this new ten foot-wide aisle carpet builds on Freeman’s rollout of the Designer Plus Eco booth carpet earlier this year. Both new products feature a recyclable backing technology, delivering the performance customers expect with a reduced environmental footprint. They are 100% recyclable and have a lighter weight profile that reduces shipping-related emissions and labor strain. The initial rollout will debut with three core colors-Black, Tuxedo, and Midnight-with additional planned to follow. 

By transitioning aisle carpet to this recyclable backing, Freeman is enabling organizers to divert material from landfills through a true circular model in which carpet can be melted down and remanufactured into new product. This shift simplifies sustainability decisions for organizers by providing a performance parity option with significant waste reduction benefits for high-traffic areas traditionally difficult to manage responsibly.
