Franklin Intros Titebond 571
Columbus,OH, June 14, 2007--Franklin International has pioneered a cost-effective solution for reducing both sound and moisture transmission through above-grade concrete and light concrete subfloors with its revolutionary new Titebond 571 Sound & Moisture Control System.
Titebond 571 is less expensive to purchase and quicker to apply than conventional sound reduction systems, such as cork or sound underlayment. Yet, it is an equally effective sound barrier – and simultaneously provides a strong barrier to potentially damaging moisture vapor.
Beyond reducing sound and moisture, Titebond 571 also improves the quality of the subfloor itself. Through its self-leveling nature, the 571 formula tolerates and bridges slight imperfections and cracks in the subfloor, providing a smoother surface for wood flooring – and enhancing the overall quality of the finished job.
For all of the benefits Titebond 571 offers flooring contractors and building owners, this unique sound and moisture control system is surprisingly easy to apply. Flooring installers can pour it directly onto the subfloor from the pail and spread it with a V-notched trowel. A single gallon quickly covers 40 to 45 square feet.
Additionally, Titebond 571 is safe both for the crews applying it and the environment itself. With a low VOC content of only 34 g/L, this product has the distinction of being part of the new Titebond GREENchoice™ family of professional-grade adhesives. These eco-friendly construction products are formulated with environmentally superior technology for the toughest jobs.
“Franklin International strives to find viable, affordable solutions for our customers in the construction industry,” said Forest Driggs, Franklin International business manager - flooring, HVAC and specialty markets. “We are proud to offer our new Titebond 571 as the most cost-effective solution for reducing both moisture and sound for above-grade applications in residential and commercial buildings. We also are excited to continue the evolution of the Titebond line of adhesives and specialty products for flooring professionals.”
