Four Extractors, One System Earn CRI Seal of Appro

Dalton, GA, August 15, 2006--A trio of extractors manufactured by Windsor Industries has earned their way on to the Seal of Approval-certified extractors list, including two self-contained units that earned gold level certification. Another unit manufactured by Century 400 also joins the list, earning silver level certification. The Agitator 20 System which includes the Agitator 20 self-contained carpet extractor manufactured by U.S. Products with Prochem Ultrapac prespray was also certified as a SOA system at the gold level. The SOA certification distinguishes the extractors as having passed a series of stringent tests measuring three performance criteria: amount of soil removed from the carpet, amount of residual water left in the carpet and impact of the machine on the fibers and appearance. Certified extractors are rated gold, silver or bronze based on the amount of soil they remove. In the systems category, the SOA designation certifies that both the extractor and the recommended cleaning solution have each passed the various SOA tests to earn the grade. The Admiral 8 Carpet Extractor Model ADM8 and the Expert Small Area Extractor Model EXP manufactured by Windsor Industries each passed the necessary tests to earn gold certification. Century 400's Diamondback Stormchaser Carpet Extractor Model 900-05 passed the necessary tests to earn silver certification as did Windsor's Dominator 250 Carpet Extractor Model D250. Extractors that exceed average soil removal standards receive a bronze rating. Those achieving higher soil removal receive a silver rating, and those receiving the highest level of measurable soil removal are awarded a gold level SOA.
