Forty Quebec Rona Stores to Take Lowe's Name
Quebec, Canada, December 13, 2016--Lowe's has announced its plans to convert 40 Rona stores outside Quebec to the Lowe's name, according to msn.com, and another 17 Quebec stores may convert to the Lowe’s name in the future.
This news come six months after Lowe’s purchased the retailer and is part of a plan to differentiate the offering in big box stores, which will bear the Lowe's name, from mid-sized stores, which will continue to be called Rona, according to Lowe's Canada president and CEO Sylvain Prud'homme.
Ultimately, the chain will have four store types: Lowe's big box locations, large Reno-Depot stores mainly in Quebec, medium-sized Rona stores and small Ace hardware stores.
