Former Owner, Counsel of Carpet Chain Convicted
Cincinnati, OH, May 2, 2008--The former owner and the in-house counsel of Ohio-based Buddy's Carpet were convicted of tax fraud.
Leif Rozin was found guilty of filing false returns and evading taxes of about $784,000. Alan Koehler assisted in the scam.
The carpet chain's namesake, Buddy Kallick, was indicted but died last year. Both Rozin and Koehler face prison time and fines up to $250,000.
