Former Bigelow-Sanford Executive Kenney Dies

Roswell, GA, Dec. 1, 2011 -- Warren J. Kenney, former executive vice president for marketing at carpet maker Bigelow-Sanford, and former president of the Floor Covering Council, died in Roswell, Georgia on Nov. 19 at the age of 84.

At age 15, he forged his parents' signature on his enlistment form and joined the Army, fighting with the 95th Infantry in campaigns in Normandy, eastern France, the Rhineland and central Germany during World War II.

After the war, he was a marketing and sales executive in the floor-covering industry for over 40 years, rising from sales trainee to executive vice president for marketing at Bigelow-Sanford.
