Former Alexander Smith Plant Sells for $2.8M

Yonkers, NY, May 23, 2007--RJ Rose Realty LLC acquired the historic industrial complex in Yonkers from NAM Realty Co. for $2.8 million, or roughly $16 per square foot. Built in 1881, the complex was originally used by Alexander Smith & Sons as its famous carpet factory. It consists of three interconnected mill buildings totaling 170,000 square feet.

The buyer occupied the property prior to the sale and exercised an option to purchase.
