Durham, NC, November 2, 2005--Forbo Adhesives LLC has bought the assets of Industrial Adhesives Inc. for an undisclosed price, the company announced Tuesday, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
Forbo, a subsidiary of Forbo Holdings AG in Switzerland, has its North American headquarters in Durham. Industrial Adhesives is based in Eugene, Ore. Forbo will add about 40 employees due to the deal, which was completed October 27.
Forbo also said that it has completed construction of a new water-based adhesive manufacturing plant in Eugene.
Forbo produces floor coverings, adhesives and beltings. It employs 5,500 people in 31 countries, including 64 people in the Triangle.
