Linwood, PA, June 6, 2006--Foamex International Inc., has asked a federal judge to extend its exclusive right to develop a Chapter 11 reorganization plan.
Foamex's current exclusivity period is scheduled to expire June 16, but if the bankruptcy court approves the company's request, it will have until Sept. 14 to file a reorganization plan.
The company would have the authority to lobby creditors to support the plan until Nov. 13. A hearing on Foamex's exclusivity extension is scheduled for June 15 at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, DE.
