Calhoun, GA, November 27, 2006--Foam Products Corporation has acquired a production facility in Erwin, Tennessee from Leggett and Platt.
The 59,000 square foot facility houses three coating lines capable of producing goods up to nine feet wide. After equipment modifications, Foam Products plans to be operational in Erwin during the first quarter of 2007.
Ken Garner, Vice President and General Manager, stated that the acquisition will permit planned growth of the Silencer underlayment business as well as other growing specialty foams and coatings.
Foam Products , founded in 1978 in Calhoun, Georgia, is producer of narrow web foams and coatings for various industries. They produce and sell underlayments under the “Silencer” trademark.
