Flowcrete Opening Office in India

Chennai, India, March 2, 2009--Flowcrete is opening a new office in India.

The UK firm, which was sold last April in a deal thought to be worth more than $43 million, plans to grow sales on the subcontinent after setting up in Chennai.

Managing director Mark Greaves said the company wants to cash in on a growing number of construction projects in the pipeline in India.

"There is a great deal of construction work planned there and we see it as a hotspot for the future. We will recruit new sales managers for Mumbai and Delhi," Greaves said.

Flowcrete, which employs 360 people worldwide, has offices around the world and manufacturing plants in the UK, U.S., Malaysia, Sweden and Belgium.
